Weather Rules

All weather information and weather maps will be obtained from the weather channel and twc.com.

The Beach will not open if:

* It is raining and/or lightning is present in the area, Or …

* If there is rain and / or storms on the radar heading towards the Wayne Lakes area. Or …

* If the temperature is below 70 deg F and the outlook for poor weather (cooler temperatures with overcast skies cool and breezy).

 

The Beach will open if:

* The temperature is 70 deg F and rising. And …

* There is an outlook for a good day with warming temperatures. And…

* No storms/rain are on the radar heading towards the Wayne Lakes area.

If the weather clears up after the decision to close the Beach for the day. The Beach will remain closed. This is due to a history of low numbers of patrons and low profit values after opening for half the day.
