Rules, Regulations And Cost For Fishing In Wayne Lakes
GENERAL
- Anyone fishing must display fishing permit (badge).
- Anyone caught giving, selling, loaning, his/her pass will have his/her privileges suspended.
- You are allowed 2 poles in the water per fisherman.
- Wayne Lakes Village residents, property owners, paying members may fish all Village Lakes but must use the Easements. (see lake "fishing access points" page to see easement locations)

- All lakes except for Iroquois and Miami have a 10 foot easement around the whole lake. On Iroquois and Miami fishing is permitted only on public property.
- DO NOT CROSS PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE PROPERTY OWNER TO GET TO EASEMENT.
All shovel head catfish caught in Iroquois lake must be returned to lake asap.
- No fishing in the swimming area of Algonquin (see maps) during fishing season.
- No taking of frogs.
- No turtle lines.
- Turtles taken by trap only.
- No jug fishing or trout lines allowed.
- Ice fishing at your own risk.
- Parking in designated areas only, Please don’t park on the grass.
Boating
- No gasoline motors permitted, only electric trolling motors.
Cost
Passes are available at the Wayne Lakes “Gate House” (located inside main entrance, off st rt 121)
Fishing badges for 2010 season are on sale now, The Gate House will be officially opened April 1. But if you need to purchase
a fishing badge now before they officially open, they will sell you one if they are there working on the Gate House Facility.
Residents and Land owners 16 years old and older.
$5.00 per year
$25.00 for guest permits.
(guest passes are good for one person when fishing with a resident or land owner, Maximum of 2 passes may be purchased. Residents and land owners are responsible for their guests)
Non-Residents passes.
$110.00 year-single
$135.00 year – family(immediate family living in household)
$60.00 year – single senior citizen over age 60
$75.00 year – senior citizen couple over age 60
$7.00 Daily
